Privacy Policy

Improv Practice ("we," "the app") is a free service that connects you with a scene partner for live improv practice over webcam. We built it to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what that means.
What we collect
- Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, names, or sign-ups.
- An anonymous ID stored in your own browser, used only so the Block and Report features work. It never leaves your device except to let the matchmaking server avoid pairing you with someone you've blocked.
- Your camera and microphone are used only for the live video call. The video and audio stream directly between you and your partner (peer-to-peer). It is never recorded, stored, or routed through our servers.
- Notification subscriptions are stored only if you choose to turn on notifications, so we can send the ones you asked for. You can turn them off anytime.
- Reports you submit (when you report a partner) are stored so we can review and act on them.
- Preferences (difficulty, notification choices, your block list) are stored in your browser's local storage, on your device.
What we don't do
- We don't record or save your video or audio.
- We don't sell or share your information.
- We don't run advertising or ad trackers.
Service providers
To run the app we rely on Cloudflare (matchmaking/signaling), GitHub Pages (website hosting), Google Fonts (typography), and Apple and Google's push-notification services (only if you enable notifications). These providers process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the service.
Children
Improv Practice is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children.
Your choices
You can clear all locally stored data anytime by clearing your browser's site data, and turn notifications off in the app. Since we hold no account, there is nothing tied to your identity to delete.
